Mystery shopping in big cities and small towns

Mystery shopping can be done anywhere, but obviously there will be more jobs wherever there are more businesses.

Mystery shopping can be done anywhere, but obviously there will be more jobs wherever there are more businesses. For this reason, some of the best places to mystery shop are also some of the biggest cities in the country. Cities like Phoenix, New York City, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Boston are all common places for mystery shoppers.. Although these cities are large, if you live in a smaller city or town, don't worry, chances are there are some mystery shopping jobs close to you too.

Mystery shopping in big cities
Big city mystery shoppers have it a little easier than mystery shoppers in small cities or rural areas. Within a small area of the city there could be several different jobs that they can do. If this is the case, and you notice several jobs within a small distance of one another, take advantage. If you time it right you could make some serious cash in one day or in one short weekend. Because of the high volume of jobs available, many shoppers use spreadsheets and other software tools to help them manage their jobs. While this is not required, it might be a good idea, especially if you're doing multiple jobs per day.

Mystery shopping in small cities and towns
Although mystery shoppers who work in smaller cities and towns might have to do jobs at a slower clip than those who work in large cities, they can still make some serious cash. Because there are fewer jobs in the area, make sure to check for jobs often. If one shows up near you, take it even if it isn't the best job. Over time those small jobs will add up and eventually you'll be seeing some major progress.
