A total of 33 car dealerships were recognized by WomenCertified as the top dealerships for outstanding customer experience toward women in 2011.
The self-proclaimed "Voice of the Female Consumer," WomenCertified identified the country's top auto dealerships based on female customer satisfaction and loyalty, and women's reported preferences during the car buying, leasing and service experience.
Specifically, dealerships had to show that nine out of 10 women would recommend the dealership to others based on categories such as cleanliness, quality of the sales experience and women’s propensity to refer that dealership.
"Car buying is often viewed as a male-dominated activity," said Delia Passi, CEO and Founder of WomenCertified, adding that women buy 51 percent of vehicles today and influence 96 percent of vehicle purchases for their families.
According to Auto Remarketing, dealerships that made the list will receive a Women's Choice Award seal, which may sway females to purchase vehicles at those locations.
"Earning a place on this list will enhance any dealership's reputation for superior customer service," said Michael Roscoe, President and CEO of Dealer Communications, as quoted by the media outlet.
